About the event
Join herbalists Shoshanna Rome and Livia Fleming for an engaging and interactive introduction to herbalism. Our first class will explore the fundamentals of working with wild plants, including foraging etiquette, ethical harvesting, processing, drying, and storing herbs. Learn about the history of herbalism, the importance of respecting ancestral knowledge, and practical ways to incorporate herbs into daily life.
This is the introduction to the Herbal Apothecary Course which covers various body systems, will teach you how to integrate herbs into your daily life and how to make herbal preparations and body care products for daily care and common ailments. We will be delighted to walk beside you while you begin your herbal journey, and to support you in getting the most out of your experience! Whether you're a beginner or looking to deepen your connection with plants, this class offers a welcoming space to cultivate your herbal wisdom.
We end our day with a tasting of wild herbal infusions!
Upon completing this course you will have all the basic information you need to embark upon your own herbal journey as well as the confidence, enthusiasm, and curiosity that working with herbs could inspire.
